Laura (Lolly) Stilleson (Miller)

Laura "Lolly" Miller Apr. 6, 1948 - Apr. 23, 2014 Resident of Menlo Park Laura "Lolly" Miller passed away on April 23 after a valiant battle with cancer. She touched many lives with her beautiful example in the classroom of life. Lolly was born in Palo Alto, CA and graduated from Sequoia High School. She earned a Bachelors degree from San Jose State University and a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from San Francisco State University. Her career as a preschool teacher and director at both Redwood Parents' Nursery School and Woodside Parents' Nursery School spanned more than thirty dedicated years and touched countless lives. Lolly is survived by her loving husband of forty-two years, Steve; devoted sons Jess (Renee) and grandchildren Lilah and Lucy of Australia and Thane (Charlotte) of Eugene, OR. She is also survived by several siblings and their spouses, plus nieces and nephews in addition to grand nieces and grand nephews. Her generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Published in Mercury News on May 1, 2014

We were in art class together and I have always remembered Lolly’s great  laugh, sense of fun, and her kind spirit.
